Driving
Instructions
 From Dallas (Driving
South on Interstate 45): Once you get South of Conroe, then it will seem
like EVERYTHING is Houston. Continue driving South on Interstate 45 and once
you encounter Loop 610 (Interstate 610), then go East on Loop 610. Continue in
this direction until you cross a very tall bridge over the Houston Ship
Channel. Stay in the RIGHT LANE and exit onto Highway 225. There is a sign
which says to Deer Park and Pasadena. This will put you on the Texas
Independence Highway, which also leads to the San Jacinto Monument, The United
States' TALLEST Obelisk and the associated Battlegrounds. (Beautiful State
Park!) Take one of the Deer Park exits.
 From Galveston (Driving North on
Interstate 45): Though it will seem like you are in the same
metropolitan city, continue driving North in the right lane of Interstate 45
until you can exit North (or East) on Beltway 8, which is also called the Sam
Houston Tollway. As soon as you exit you will actually be going North, and Deer
Park is on the right once you pass Spencer Highway. Pay attention to the
warning signs that say that past the last exit (before the Houston Ship
Channel) you will be forced to cross the channel and pay a toll.
 From
Victoria/Corpus Christi (Driving Northeast on U.S. Highway 59): On U.S.
59 you will be travelling Northeast and once you enter Houston you can either
exit East on Beltway 8 and follow it around to the area mentioned above or can
continue to Loop 610 (Interstate 610) and exit East. If you take the 610 exit
East, then continue until you cross over Interstate 45 to Galveston and the
Pasadena/Deer Park (Highway 225) will be on your right. Take it onto the Texas
Independence Highway and take one of the Deer Park exits.
 From San
Antonio (Driving East on Interstate 10): Once you have entered the
Houston traffic jam you can either take Beltway 8 South and travel around
Houston until you reach the Deer Park area on your right (on the opposite side
of town: See Map!) - OR - you can continue travelling in on Interstate 10 and
take either the South exit or the North exit on Loop 610 (Interstate 610).
Either way will eventually get you to the opposite side of Houston, where you
can take the Highway 225 East exit to Deer Park.
 From
Beaumont (Driving West on Interstate 10): Once you get into Houston your
first option will be to take Beltway 8 South to Deer Park. We recommend this,
as the Toll Bridge (around $2.25) leads almost directly into Deer Park. Once
you cross the bridge, then take the first (IMMEDIATELY) exit Right to Highway
225. Turn East on 225 (under the bridge: You will actually be on the 225
feeder) and you will be in Deer Park. Should you decide to continue West on
Interstate 10 and not take the VERY tall Toll Bridge that is on Beltway 8, then
take the South exit from Interstate 10 onto Loop 610 (Interstate 610) and
continue over the (almost as) tall bridge and take the second exit, which is
Highway 225 East to Deer Park.
From Livingston (Driving Southwest on U.S.
59): Once you get into Houston, take Loop 610 East and exit East on
Highway 225 once you have crossed over the Houston Ship Channel bridge. (Sidney
Sherman Bridge)
